UK Aid (DFID – Department for International Development)

India Impex (SUNLITE) in partnership with the DFID (Department for International Development), has supplied over 15,000 Solar Lanterns (JS 30 MOB), catering to the on-going humanitarian needs worldwide.

Due to the sensitive nature of the ground realities, our Solar Lanterns had to be air-dropped in Iraq. We take pride in knowing that our Lanterns were robust and reliable enough to withstand such requirements. Another key advantage of the product which was appreciated was its mobile phone charging feature – “In a country in which more than 80% of people own a mobile phone, this is a crucial tool to help displaced Iraqis communicate. And it will allow aid agencies to keep in touch with the refugees.”
